Poems of a Lost Childhood is an exploration of growing up in a small conservation town in South Africa during Apartheid.

My family was quirky and had rules for everything, mostly steeped in religion, but also superstition.

I have written tiny vignettes of stories that impacted me in my childhood and also explored how they shaped my values in adulthood.

I hope they spark reflection on your own beginnings, what shaped you and what you still may choose to grow from no matter what age you are when this book lands in your hands.
