First time genuinely laughing when reading a book…I think since I can remember.
Although I am generation behind Barry at 52 years young, his column experts (and book in general) reminds me of times of my wiseassery, and inspires me to continue-although my wife disapproves.

I'm about 50. Beyond high school, I never had an interest in American history. I believed everything I was told or watched because I believed the system.
I was pretty naive. After reading this book, you will understand why the government as a different perspective what they good for the country is good for the people. The majority of Americans the last 50+ years would disagree.
Read this book, and will have competent knowledge and viewpoint to get a real perspective how politics change sometimes for the better, but still fall short.

I have never read any books on Stoicism or Buddhism. After reading this book, I now understand different (and some similar) ways these two philosophies compare to christianity. And the differences in religious and secular faith.
Then the author gives a simple, daily practice to calm ourselves and a strategy to make importance decisions. Thank you for opening my world to new school of thought.

I'm from Chicago so I couldn't wait to read this story. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down. Lot's of crazy stories that could only happen in Chicago. After reading this I want to be a Detective. I thought this stuff only happened on Law and Order.

Book in good shape, arrived in a timely fashion which is great.

The shipping was a long process, But other than that it was nice doing business with Sons and Daughters. Would i order from them again, yes I would.
